ABOUT C. LEFFERTS
Intrigued by the history of our nation dating back to colonial times, I began restoring historic buildings and articles of antiquity in 1974. Recognizing that our history is contained in the treasures around us, I found that my effort to preserve, restore, and revitalize these items was both rewarding and satisfying as an integral part of my life. These activities gave me a sense of accomplishment and the knowledge that a piece of history can live on for others to experience was inspiring and compelled me to continue.
Over the years I began to realize that I was drawn to time and the devices constructed to measure it.
From the simplistic to the complex, English, German, French, American, the variations were endless. With a background in fine cabinetry, woodworking and mechanical repairs, it was natural to become involved in the restoration, repair and servicing of these devices. As a Horologist, I have found my purpose, it is important to me and to others, and contributes to the preservation of history on both a personal and a national level.

and the future". Unknown Author
